When We Are Closed

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

NHS 111 is 24-hour advice help line for all medical problems. Simply dial 111.

In an emergency, and when the surgery is closed, please call the practice as usual where you will find details on the answer phone of our out of hours service or ring:

0330 1004471 between 8.00am -6.30pm and 111 between 6.30pm -8.00am

Other than in a life threatening emergency where you should dial 999, please use these services before attending the A&E department at the nearest hospital.

Where to go for other local services:

  • Your pharmacist is qualified to give you expert advice on minor ailments.
  • Accident and emergency departments: Hospital A&E departments are for serious accidents and emergencies, NOT minor injuries or health problems.
